Colin Ryan is a singer-songwriter and actor from Norman, Oklahoma.  His musical influences include: the vocal styling of Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam and Incubus’ Brandon Boyd, the acoustic guitar driven story-telling of James Taylor and Ray LaMontagne, and 90’s grunge.  He has released two albums: Brother, Brother (2013, Somewhere Records) and Wide Tree (2012), which BroadwayWorld calls “a cross-genre musical journey through acoustic rock, grunge, and soul, with powerhouse vocals throughout.”

A multi-instrumentalist, he has performed with such wide-ranging ensembles as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Deli All-Star Jam, and at the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest.  He has shared the stage with Mike Hosty, Mama Sweet, Buffalo Rogers, Penny Hill, and Broadway stars Bailey Hanks (winner of MTV’s Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods) and Rob Gallagher.

Equally at home on stage, film, or in the studio, he has performed as an actor or musician (often both) at venues, regional theatres, civic centers and performance halls, colleges and universities across the nation.  Colin is frequently a guest artist at The Orchard Project, a theatre development retreat in New York produced by The eXchange NYC.  He is currently a company member of American Shakespeare Center and a Somewhere Records Artist.  He is represented in Oklahoma by Switzer Talent Agency.
